From Art at 2008-01-14 16:03:57 : I found this little female bufflehead frozen to the ice. It took me about 3 hours to free her. It was minus 20. I had to cover her with my hat and gloves so I could go and get hot water. I tried scooping water out of the lake, but it wouldnt thaw the ice around her. The last shot is of her swimming back out into the lake after I held onto her long enough for her to stop shaking.
