This picture was taken when Annie and I were winter camping. The sky was very clear and a flashlight was used to illuminate the trees. The camera flash was not bright enough to light the trees. This combined with the exposure allowed the stars to be captured.

This picture was taken by my buddy Spike. He and his daughter(Abby) were on an owl hunt with me and he snapped this picture of me taking a picture of a great grey owl. The owl is sitting on the very top of a tree right in front of me. Thanks Spike.

This was taken on private property. I talked to the owner of the property and got permission to be there.

This is a view from the plane on our fly-in fishing trip north of Blind River. I'd like to thank Lauzon Aviation for an excellent trip. Thanks for the excellent flight Ray. This trip will be discussed around many campfires I'm sure.

This picture was taken from the dock on Elbow Lake. The view on this lake is excellent, this loon surfaced very close to the gull which prompted the gull taking off and the loon doing the wing flap.

These pictures taken on the rocks at French river are kind of funny. I had to set the timer on the camera and run across the rocks and try to sit down before the camera snapped the picture. If any of you have ever tried this, you will understand what I mean:)

I went to the Toronto zoo and took a few shots. Although these animals are not in their natural habitat, I think they defintely fit into the wildlife category. I will try to portray them as natural as I can. I hope you enjoy them.

This shot was used on a bottle of California wine called Gray Fox wine. I donated the use of this shot to the Canadian Wildife Federation and the proceeds from the sales of the wine went to the federation.

Awesome photo. How close were you and how long did it take to get that shot? Chris. www.geocities.com/poohatpictures

Thanks for the compliment Chris. I was standing in a farmers field for about 3 hours waiting for this owl to dance for me and it paid off. I was freezing, my boots were filled with snow and my battery was almost dead. When I was about to go warm up and recharge my battery, this guy took off from the branch he was sitting on and hovered about 20 feet in the air. Then dove straight down and landed. He then took off and flew right at me. I got these shots and when I tried to take one on his approach to me, my battery died so I missed it. I am extremely grateful that my battery did'nt die a minute earlier or I wouldn't have got these shots. Art

Hi, saw this via your myspace (i'm "nature girl"). Absolutely LOVE your pix, this one is supreme! I hope you are showing your portfollio at a gallery somewhere, these have got to be made available to people without internet, and you just have a gift that has got to be shared! Take care, keep up the Beautiful work. So nice to live vicariously through your lens! Thanks.

I found this little female bufflehead frozen to the ice. It took me about 3 hours to free her. It was minus 20. I had to cover her with my hat and gloves so I could go and get hot water. I tried scooping water out of the lake, but it wouldnt thaw the ice around her. The last shot is of her swimming back out into the lake after I held onto her long enough for her to stop shaking.
